International Paget’s Awareness – January 11
International Paget’s Awareness Day, celebrated on January 11th, is meant to remind people of the existence of Paget’s disease. According to the NHS, “Paget’s disease of bone disrupts the normal cycle of bone renewal, causing bones to become weakened and possibly deformed.”
Versus Arthritis estimates that 2-3 out of 100 people over the age of 50 in the UK suffer from the disease.
