STIQ Day – January 14
The 14 of January is STIQ Day, a date meant to remind people to check their sexual health. Unfortunately, sexually transmitted diseases are on the rise in England. According to the BBC, there were 447,694 new diagnoses of STIs in 2018, a 5% increase year-on-year. And, although we rarely want to know such details, it should be noted that gonorrhoea had the biggest increase in the same period – 26% year-on-year. Yikes!
